# Download and Install the Merch Titans App on Windows or Mac

Log in at merchtitans.com, open your dashboard and click Windows or macOS on the Download Merch Titans card. The first time the app opens, it downloads its latest version and its own browser, then shows the login screen.

## Steps

1. **Log in to the website.** Log in at merchtitans.com and go to your dashboard at merchtitans.com/dashboard. The dashboard needs you to be logged in.
2. **Find the download card.** On the dashboard, find the card called Download Merch Titans.
3. **Download the app for your computer.** Click Windows or macOS. If the download doesn't start, click the button again.
4. **Install and open Merch Titans.** Open the file you downloaded, merchtitans.exe on Windows or merchtitans.dmg on a Mac, to install the app. Then open Merch Titans.
5. **Let the first launch finish.** Keep your internet connection on while the app downloads its latest version and its own browser. Progress screens show while this happens.
6. **Click OK on Windows.** On Windows only, the first launch shows Downloading Update.. and then an Update Ready box. Click OK and the app restarts by itself.
7. **Log in.** When the login screen appears, log in with the email and password of your Merch Titans account.

## Where to get the app

The installers are on your dashboard at [merchtitans.com/dashboard](https://merchtitans.com/dashboard). You need to be logged in to see it; if you aren't, the site sends you to the login page first.

The card is called "Download Merch Titans" and has two buttons, **Windows** and **macOS**, each marked "Latest version". If your download doesn't start, click the button again.

## What happens the first time you open it

The first launch shows a few screens before you can log in. Leave the app open and connected to the internet while they run.

| "Downloading Update.." with a progress bar (Windows only) | A one-time setup step for Windows. It runs once per install. | Wait. Then click **OK** on the "Update Ready" box. |
| "Downloading Chromium.." with a progress bar | The app is downloading its own browser, which it uses for uploads. The bar shows "Loading...", then a percentage, then "Complete!". | Wait. |

The "Update Ready" box says "The update will be applied and the app will restart automatically." It has only an **OK** button. After you click it, Merch Titans closes and opens again by itself. This Windows step isn't how normal updates arrive; see [Updates](https://merchtitans.com/docs/updates).

After you log in, the main window opens on Home. If you ticked **Keep me logged in**, later launches skip the login screen.

> **The app's own browser** The browser download happens on the first launch and again only if its folder is deleted. On a Mac, it is kept in a folder called Merch Titans Automation next to the app. If it goes missing, the app downloads it again the next time it opens.

## If Merch Titans won't start

If anything goes wrong while the app is starting, including a page that takes more than 60 seconds to load, the whole window shows:

"Merch Titans couldn't start. Please check your internet connection and try again."

Check your connection and click **Try again**.

> If you see "Some pages didn't load, so your settings won't be saved this time. Please check your connection and restart the app.", close Merch Titans and open it again before you change any settings. Until you restart, changes you make to your settings aren't kept.
