SVG or PNG: which one do you need?
SVG is a vector format, so it stays sharp at any size and is easy to edit. PNG is a raster format with a fixed pixel size, and it is the file type most print-on-demand uploaders and marketplaces ask for, usually with a transparent background. Keep your SVG as the master file and export a PNG at the size each platform needs. Always check the platform's current file guidelines before you upload.

Is my artwork uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the canvas, so your files are not sent to Merch Titans or anywhere else. Close the tab and the converted files are gone.
How do I keep the background transparent?
Leave the background on Transparent. The PNG keeps an alpha channel, so areas with no fill stay see-through. Pick a solid color only if you want a flat background behind the design.
What size should my PNG be for print on demand?
It depends on the platform, so check its current file guidelines. For Amazon Merch on Demand t-shirts, designs are submitted as PNG files at 4500 x 5400 px, so a width of 4500 px is a good starting point for those. Because SVG is vector, you can export at a large width without losing sharpness.
Can I convert a PNG or JPG to SVG?
Yes, with the PNG or JPG to SVG tab, which traces your image into vector shapes. It works best on flat artwork, logos and clip art with a limited number of colors. It is a tracing tool, not a way to recover an original vector file, and photos will give heavy, messy results.
Why does my SVG look different after converting?
The browser renders your SVG the way it would on a web page. Fonts that are not embedded or installed fall back to a default, and linked external images are not loaded. Convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG before converting for the most faithful result.
Is there a maximum output size?
Yes, 8,000 px on either side, to keep the conversion reliable in your browser. For larger prints, export at the maximum size and use a dedicated upscaler, or keep the SVG as the master file.
