The best video mockup generator for Etsy listings is MyDesigns: it turns your product mockups into a short listing video (a Slideshow or an AI Image to Video clip) and attaches it when you publish to Etsy, which accepts up to 2 videos per listing. You do not shoot anything. You give the tool your design and a product scene, and it exports a short clip you can upload as a listing video. For a print on demand seller, that means a video for every listing without ordering samples or hiring a model.

What Etsy Allows in a Listing Video

Etsy's help page on listing videos ("How to Add Listing Videos", read Nov 3, 2026) sets the rules your export has to meet:

• You can add up to 2 videos per listing.
• Length is 3 to 15 seconds.
• Maximum file size is 100 MB, and accepted types include MP4 and MOV.
• The video will not contain any audio once uploaded to the listing.
• The minimum resolution is 500 px, and Etsy says the ideal is at least 1080 px.

The page also lists an aspect ratio rule, so check Etsy's page before you export. Etsy also says listing videos can help how your listings appear in Etsy search.

One practical result: because the audio is stripped, a tool that charges extra for sound or voiceover gives you nothing on Etsy. Silent, short, clear clips are the target.

How We Compared These Tools

We read the MyDesigns mockup docs and its plan limits, the Scaylr homepage and video mockup page, the Dynamic Mockups homepage and pricing page, and the Placeit apparel video page, all on Nov 3, 2026. Canva's video mockup page blocked our fetch (403), so we did not rate Canva.

We did not render test videos in any tool, so we say nothing about visual quality. We scored four things: how the video reaches an Etsy listing, how many you can make a day, cost per video where published, and the limits each tool states.

1. MyDesigns: Best Overall for Etsy Listing Videos

MyDesigns is the best choice when the video is one step between a design and a published listing. It is a seller platform, not a marketplace. Per MyDesigns, it has 200K+ registered users and 50M+ products created.

Two checkable facts back the ranking:

• Video mockups are built from your mockups and attached at publish. The docs describe two options: a Slideshow, or Image to Video, which uses AI. In a mockup's Product Configuration tab you can switch on Auto Generate Video Mockup, which adds a video made from your mockups.
• The platform caps are published. The docs list Etsy at 20 images and 2 videos per listing, and Shopify and WooCommerce at 100 images and 1 video. The plan limits show 0 video mockups a day on Free, then 24 on Starter, 48 on Pro and 120 on Pro Plus.

MyDesigns Limits

• Video mockups need a paid plan. The Free plan allows 0 a day, and the Free plan has no AI credits, so Image to Video is out of reach there.
• Image to Video costs credits. The docs say 5 credits per listing. The docs attach that cost to Image to Video only, and we did not see a stated credit cost for Slideshow.
• Daily caps apply. 24, 48 or 120 video mockups a day, depending on the plan.
• We have not tested the output. We cannot tell you how natural the AI motion looks, so judge a sample on your own product first.
• The docs we read do not spell out every menu label for choosing Slideshow or Image to Video, so follow the screens you see.

2. Scaylr: Best for a Quick Browser Clip

Scaylr's FAQ says its video mockups place your design into moving product scenes such as framed prints, mugs, tees and totes, and that you download MP4 or GIF files. Its video page says the tool runs on your device, designs are never uploaded, and videos are silent. It also says scenes run about 8 seconds, which is inside Etsy's 3 to 15 second window if you trim.

Choose it if you upload videos to Etsy by hand and want a small yearly plan. We did not find Etsy publishing or fulfillment, and we could not confirm which plan unlocks video export.

3. Dynamic Mockups: Best for AI Motion at Volume

Dynamic Mockups lists MotionMockups AI videos on its Free plan, with 1 free video a day after a one-time 50 credit balance. Its pricing page says videos use 40 to 160 credits depending on length and audio. Pro is listed at $15 a month billed annually for 3,600 credits a year.

At those numbers, 3,600 credits is 90 videos at 40 credits or 22 at 160, which is our arithmetic, not a vendor claim. Because Etsy removes audio, pick the cheapest setting without sound.

Choose it if you want AI-made motion clips and are comfortable paying per credit. We saw no Etsy publishing or fulfillment on its pages.

4. Placeit: Best for People-on-Camera Apparel Videos

Placeit's apparel video page lists templates such as Bella Canvas tee videos with a cropped-face model and a Gildan sweatshirt video. That is useful if you want a lifestyle feel without hiring anyone.

Choose it if you want template videos with people in them. We could not see its subscription price on the pages we read, so we did not compare cost.

How to Add a Video to an Etsy Listing With MyDesigns

These steps follow the MyDesigns mockup docs and the Etsy help page, both read Nov 3, 2026.

1. Connect your mockups to the product. Open the mockup, choose the pencil on its card and select the Product Configuration tab.
2. Order the images. Drag them so your best image is first, because the first one becomes the primary listing image.
3. Turn on the video. In the same tab, switch on Auto Generate Video Mockup, which adds a video made from your mockups. Or create one from your mockups as a Slideshow or with Image to Video.
4. Keep it within Etsy's limits. 3 to 15 seconds, under 100 MB, no audio, and no more than 2 videos on the listing.
5. Publish. Use the Mockups step when you create products. MyDesigns renders one image per mockup and colour, and Etsy listings take 20 images and 2 videos.

Worked Example: Videos for 100 Listings

Say you want an AI Image to Video clip on each of 100 listings. At 5 credits per listing, that is 500 credits. This is arithmetic on the documented numbers, not a timed test.

We assumed one video per listing counts as one video mockup, which we did not test. Credits also pay for Dream AI, background removal and upscaling, so a month of design work shrinks the video budget. On Starter, 100 listings with Image to Video need 500 credits, which is two months of credits with nothing left for design work. The docs state no credit cost for a Slideshow, so test it on a few listings before you plan a bulk run.
